Santiago is a neighborhood in Scottsdale, Arizona built by Continental Homes in 1983.
It was part of the “Bob McIntyre Signature Series” (named after the architect who designed the homes). The designs represented a significant departure from the other single family homes being built at the time, including those previously built by Continental. Garages were detached from the main home, and front and side yards were walled in to allow a variety of usable private open spaces besides the usual back yard. “We’ve created a lifestyle environment that will get better with age…” says the architect in the advertising. “When we do this, you are creating your own oasis.”
